Core+ CAPIR

The CAPIR Tool or Connexions Common Assessment Tool is a valuable extension to our Core+ CCIS database.  Developed to the DCSF guidelines, CAPIR is based on the existing APIR framework (within Core+ CCIS), but incorporates the 19 categories used in the CAP (Common Assessment Framework).

As with each of our products, CAPIR is designed for ease of use, with colour coding to highlight which categories have been discussed with a young people and the status level of each, e.g. Positive Strength, No Issues etc.  If an issue is identified, further information may be recorded to show how the issue is being addressed.

Furthermore each episode can be displayed in colourful graphical format to provide young people and practitioners alike with a clear view of the young person's current situation.  This can be further overlaid with subsequent episodes for the same young person to demonstrate ‘distance travelled'.
