ContactPoint

ContactPoint is part of the Every Child Matters Programme and the Children’s Plan. It is a national database aimed to improve the health, well-being and safety of all children and young people from birth up to their 18th birthday.

All databases containing young people’s details will need to be able to upload basic details (e.g. name, address, date of birth, gender, and ethnicity) to ContactPoint on a regular basis. To facilitate this, local authorities and the systems used need to be ContactPoint accredited.

CareerVision have developed a solution that will ‘ContactPoint’ enable each of our database solutions.  Working with Connexions Cumbria and Cumbria County Council, we have achieved both Type Accreditation and Instance Accreditation for Core+.   The work is now continuing with e-YS, working in Partnership with Gateshead Youth Service; and eCAF, working in Partnership with Bristol City Council.
