Our History

CareerVision started as a small company based in picturesque Cornwall, with little more than a handful of staff and a single product developed for the Careers Service Market, called CV25. 

 As the industry has developed, CareerVision has grown by keeping abreast of the market and the practitioner's requirements to provide secure and practical methods of recording and reporting information. 

In 1993 we launched Core, which replaced the former CV25 system for the Careers Service market.   This was developed in consultation with Sheffield Careers, now Sheffield Futures who are still a longstanding customer. 

2001 saw the launch of the Connexions Service, a whole new ball game for all concerned and for CareerVision, the emergence of Core+, our market leading CCIS database.  Working in partnership with Greater Merseyside Connexions, CareerVision developed Core+ to meet the stringent statutory requirements of the DCSF (Department of Children, Schools and Families).

2002 was another big year for CareerVision with our foot firmly wedged in the door of the Youth Service market with our youth activity database, e-YS.  e-YS was developed in consultation with the South Yorkshire youth services who are still making full use of the system.

Since then, we have continued to increase our product portfolio with the development of our e-CAF database, WEX database (for work experience) and numerous additional modules for our Core+ and e-YS systems.

Now based in Cheshire, with over 18 years experience and more than 30 members of staff CareerVision are able to offer a wide range of database solutions and services including database hosting, training and consultation.
